What's Coming Up for "How to Fight Back"

Exciting new developments coming to "How to Fight Back"

This Substack has brought me immense joy, as I hope it will continue to do. The main articles of “How To Fight Back!” will still be the core of this space going forward.

That being said, it has always been my dream to find ways to combine my love of history and my love of political action. With that in mind I will be launching 2 new segments to the Substack.

The first will be mini-podcasts/written articles entitled “‘This has never happened before’…‘Well actually…’”. These mini lessons will point to things we are seeing in our current times that feel ahistorical or like they have come out of nowhere, and highlight their historical prevalence and context. Within our current administration there will be plenty to choose from. Mainly because this admin doesn’t just do things out of the blue, they do things they have been given tools to do so with, usually by a previous administration that never saw it going this far.

The second will be in a similar format called, “Civics 101: Things You Need to Know About How Our Government Works…For Now 😅”. These will be mini lessons on how government works. As I do with the main HTFB articles, I will try to make these as accessible as possible so that they are informative whether you have never thought about government before or you have a Ph.D in Political Science or Government Affairs.

I believe in order for us to effectively fight back we have to have the knowledge of where we came from and understand the system in which we are having this fight.
